Dwayne Dueck


Dwayne Dueck,

Dwayne is passionate about working with owners and entrepreneurs to grow and build value in their businesses as well as plan for their future through effective, proactive tax planning.

Dwayne obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Simon Fraser University in 1996 and was awarded the SFU Dean’s Medal for Academic Excellence. Dwayne obtained his CA designation in 1999. Dwayne articled with Cunliffe Schreurs Tupper before joining the Kamloops office of KPMG LLP in December 1998 where he practiced for 15 years, 13 of those years in KPMG’s tax services group.

Dwayne joined Tenisci Piva LLP as a tax partner in January 2014. Dwayne specializes in tax and business advisory services. This encompasses business, corporate, personal, and trust taxation and related tax planning, retirement, estate and succession planning, the purchase and sale of a business, business mergers and amalgamations, taxation on emigration from and immigration to Canada, Canadian taxation of non-residents, and corporate reorganizations. His experience also allows him to effectively manage tax disputes with the Canada Revenue Agency.

He has been a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation for 13 years and has been a tutor and facilitator for CPA Canada’s In‐Depth Tax program since 2006. Dwayne’s community involvement includes Treasurer for the Kamloops Alliance Church, and member of the business advisory board for Enactus TRU. Dwayne is also a past treasurer of the Western Canada Theatre Company.

Born in Saskatchewan, Dwayne is a lifelong Saskatchewan Roughriders fan. He has a passion for mountain biking, downhill skiing, hiking, photography, and camping with his family and friends. Dwayne is married to Raelene and has two children.
